GAIL OWENS
Gail grew up as part of a large family, raised on a farm and taught by example that life is about helping others in every way and whenever the opportunity arises. Both as a bookkeeper and as a substitute educator, she has encountered many people with a multitude of special medical needs and often with no access to the means to afford them. Gail believes that everyone should have the right to treatments that will enable them to live full and healthy lives. At Funding for Life, she feels blessed to be in a position to help many in need improve their lives physically and emotionally.

KAREN CHONG
Karen followed forty years serving in various disciplines in the world of business with her own entrepreneurial venture into an enterprise of her own. For ten years she and her partner ran a loose tea shop called Chari-Teas with the dual goals of providing an excellent product and helping those in need. Her mission was accomplished when Chari-Teas enabled many families in Colombia to become self-sufficient. Mother to four and grandmother to thirteen, Karen these days nurtures her love of nature by caring for her garden and counting her very many blessings.

REBECCA McKEE
Long fascinated with human behaviour and relationships, Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social work at the University of British Columbia. On graduation, she went to work in the non-profit sector, focusing primarily on work with at-risk youth. After years of providing counselling and talk therapy, and motivated by personal struggles, she embraced alternative therapies; discovering neurofeedback, acupuncture and other complementary therapies pivotal in her own recovery from an acquired brain injury. Rebecca enjoys helping others overcome their own barriers to healing and is proud to participate in a charity that financially supports people to help them access alternative therapies.

STEPHEN DAVIS
Stephen Davis has over 40 years of experience running his own companies including 15 years focused on the healthcare industry. Through his dedication to helping people overcome health issues, he became increasingly concerned that many individuals needing help simply cannot afford non-traditional healthcare services that are not covered by the Canadian Health Care Plan. Stephen founded the Funding For Life Society in 2006. In January 2014 CRA approved Funding for Life for an additional purpose to help people by providing financial assistance to those in need of proven but un-funded alternative healthcare services.
Beginning in 2023/24, Funding For Life will first support individuals who are currently struggling with Lyme disease, and our Veterans who are struggling with PTSD. Both Lyme disease and PTSD are difficult to diagnose. Lyme disease is one of the fastest growing vector diseases in North America. With Lyme disease and PTSD come a number of co-infections that require treatment through prescriptions, supplements, tinctures, physical treatments or through technology in different forms of light or energy modalities. I invite you to join us as we make these therapies available so that everyone can take advantage of their health benefits and enjoy a better life.
Our goal is to apply 90% of all donations to go towards subsidizing Alternative Healthcare Services to those who simply can’t afford those services they need to get well!
